Therefore, we strive to source goods that are manufactured responsibly, adhering to strong standards and oversight processes which reflect our commitment to safe working conditions for our employees and contractors, ethical labour practices and environmental sustainability.
Our Zero Tolerance Policy
Our Pixie Friends Pty Ltd has a zero-tolerance approach to slavery and human trafficking, including child labour. We are committed to taking all reasonably practicable steps to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not present either in our business or in our supply chains.
Our Sourcing Policy
Our Pixie Friends Pty Ltd maintains that a factory is fully responsible for their products and operating practices. Whenever possible, the factory used to manufacture our goods will be checked and verified by trusted professionals as much as is practicable to ensure they are adhering to our policies. When this is not possible, distributors or stockists will be asked about their fair trading policies.
Our Standards
Our Pixie Friends Pty Ltd recognizes standards such as International Labour Organization standards (ILO) and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). Our Pixie Friends Pty Ltd is committed to eliminating forced labour or compulsory labour, particularly child labour. These standards apply to all our staff, volunteers, contractors and suppliers and anyone with whom we have business dealings.
Our Expectations
It is an expectation that any staff will be informed of this company policy on commencement of employment. It is also an expectation that any employees, volunteers, contractors or supply chain workers notify a company director immediately if they become aware of, or suspect, any breach in these standards without fear of reprisal. Our Pixie Friends Pty Ltd will support anyone who raises genuine concerns in good faith, even in circumstances where it transpires that those concerns are mistaken.
Our Risk Analysis Approach
We will continue to consult with various parts of our business to identify which locations and business functions are most likely to interact with entities that represent a higher risk, especially importing merchandise. Identifying higher-risk areas of our business will guide our review of relevant policies, procedures and training to ensure that we are working effectively to address any identified instances of slavery and human trafficking.
