Dairy free Carbonara

Try this yummy dairy free carbonara. It’s great for all our pixies with allergies. It’s so easy and we pixies love it! (Even Queen Pearl can cook it, and she’s a terrible cook … but don’t tell her!)

Always check it is safe for you with a grown-up.


1 onion

1 clove of garlic


chicken breast or thigh fillets

frozen mixed vegetables or fresh vegetables of your choice – We added fresh celery and mushrooms to the frozen ones.

soy milk


  1. Spray the pan with oil so it does not stick. Turn it on to medium heat.
  2. Chop the onion and garlic and add to the pan. Add celery if you like.
  3. Chop the bacon and chicken into little pieces and add to the pan.
  4.  Don’t forget to stir it!
  5. Wait until the chicken is almost cooked, then add your vegetables.
  6. Pour in the milk until there is enough for your liking.
  7. Cook until everything is well and truly cooked through. You might like to turn the pan down a bit to simmer.
  8. Don’t forget to keep stirring it!
  9. Serve with pasta, rice or garlic bread.
